Description

When people think of “Latin Dancing”, most of the time Salsa and Merengue comes to mind. However, International Style Latin-American dancing is slightly different. It took its roots in original Latin dances, but was modified by choreographers to include some of the ballet technique and styling. These additions created a completely unique style that emphasizes speed, sharpness and precision of lines. So, if you have a need for speed, Latin might be for you.
In this class we will cover basics of dances such as Cha Cha, Rumba, Samba and Jive. We will also introduce you to the Basic principles of leading and following. And finally, after taking classes you will learn several routines that you can use either for social dancing or even performance! Impress your friends with new moves and get your “Wow! That’s cool…” compliments.
