Description

This Beginner Competition Latin/Ballroom class is for kids 6-10 years old that want to participate in dance competitions. At this stage of development most children’s coordination and cognitive abilities are advanced enough to perform slightly more sophisticated dance steps. In this dance class we will introduce children to the basics of Ballroom and Latin dancing and technique that is necessary to win. We believe that your child’s education should be well-rounded. Therefore we utilize the European method of teaching of dance by introducing children to both Ballroom dances (such as Waltz and Quickstep) as well as Latin dances (such as Cha Cha and Rumba). In this dance class we will focuses on the basic timing, movement and technique of International style Latin and Ballroom dances. Class covers pre-bronze dance syllabus steps. Students learn simple dance routines that can be used for performances and beginner level dance competitions.
